Tue the 11th July 2023 – Jan Govatt Bendigo Amnesty

This world wide organisation was founded in 1961 after a British lawyer, Peter Benenson, was
outraged after two Portuguese students were jailed for simply raising a toast to freedom. Not a lot
has changed in the world and Jan will speak about how the local branch assists.
